Day 1

Arrival in Anchorage

After landing in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city meet your private driver/guide and transfer to your Anchorage hotel for the evening. Depending on your arrival time you may wish to rent bikes and take a ride down the Coastal Trail.

Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 2

Travel to the Kenai Peninsula - Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center - Seward

After breakfast travel along beautiful Turnagain Arm, designated an “American Scenic Byway”, en route to the Kenai Peninsula. While traveling through Portage, enjoy a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The Conservation Center takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round and provides them with spacious enclosures and quality care. The Center maintains over 200-acres so the animals can display their “wild” natural behavior; visitors can spot brown bears, musk-ox roaming the grounds, and more. A private moose encounter has been included so the entire family can meet one of Alaska’s most famous residents.

After your visit, continue to the port town of Seward for the evening.

Overnight in Seward, your home for the next two nights.

Day 3

Chartered Family Cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park

Seward is best known as the ‘Gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park’ and today you have an opportunity to experience the park by cruise aboard a private charter cruiseship. Your captain will customize your cruise tour based on your family’s specific interests. In addition to the thrill of seeing a calving tidewater glacier, you may also see a variety of wildlife including Steller sea lions, seals, otters, mountain goats, and an occasional bear. Other wildlife that calls this area home include bald eagles, oystercatchers, cormorants, and of course Alaska’s most famous wildlife attraction – whales! A picnic-style lunch is included onboard as you take in the beautiful surroundings.

This evening relax at your hotel or explore the town on foot.

Day 4

Alaska Sealife Center - Helicopter Flightseeing - Dogsledding - Alaska Railroad to Anchorage

Visit the Alaska SeaLife Center, a unique Alaska resource combining a public aquarium with marine research, education, and wildlife support. This is the perfect destination for curious kids or adults to learn and explore Alaska’s marine life up close. While you are here enjoy a private Octopus encounter while you shake hands with a giant Pacific octopus during a feeding session, and learn more about these mysterious and intelligent invertebrates from a member of the animal care team.

Next, an exciting helicopter dog-sledding adventure awaits! Climb aboard a helicopter for a stunning flight over Resurrection Bay to Fourth of July Glacier. Here you will learn how sled dogs are bred, see how they are trained, and hear stories about Alaska’s official sport. Enjoy a dog sled ride on the glacier while taking in the stunning glacial landscape.

At the close of this fun-filled day, you and your family will board the Alaska Railroad for your return trip to Anchorage. Enjoy the luxury of the Railroad’s Dome Car with glass ceilings as you pass through the breathtaking scenery of the Kenai Peninsula and Turnagain Arm. Once in Anchorage, a private transfer will bring you to your Anchorage hotel for the evening.

Day 5

Private flight from Anchorage to Stillpoint Lodge

After breakfast, a private transfer by car will bring you to Lake Hood Floatplane Base, the largest floatplane airport in North America. You’ll board your private floatplane and set off to Halibut Cove just off the Kenai Peninsula.

Upon landingat Stillpoint Lodge, you will be greeted by the lodge staff and provided an orientation to activities and amenities at the lodge. Enjoy afternoon activities and a gourmet dinner featuring fresh local fish and vegetables straight from the garden.

Overnight at Stillpoint Lodge, your home for the next four nights.

Day 6

Family Fun Exploring Halibut Cove

Stillpoint Lodge is a great place for families. Children are encouraged to join their parents on almost all of the adventures and activities that the lodge offers but they are also happy to offer special outings geared just for them! Enjoy beachcombing and tidepooling expeditions, nature craft activities, seaweed harvesting, berry picking, fishing from the dock, interpretive hikes, and even a visit to the chicken coop to meet and learn about the friendly hens that call this special place home.

Day 7

Fly-Out Bear Viewing Adventure - Cook Inlet

With the highest concentration of brown bears in the world, the Alaska Peninsula is a great place to fly out to for some spectacular bear viewing perfect for the entire family. Fly directly from the lodge across Cook Inlet via helicopter or small plane, viewing active volcanoes and scenic wilderness along the way. Land in bear habitat. Your pilot/guide will guide you along the same trails the bears use. Depending on the time of year and location of your visit you may see bears feeding their young, fishing for salmon, digging for clams, or enjoying a good nap on this intimate adventure.

Return to Stillpoint Lodge this evening.

Day 8

Hike Grewingk Lake - Kayak Through Icebergs

Today enjoy a three-part adventure all wrapped up into one excitement-filled day. Board the lodge boat for a short journey to a nearby trailhead, search for sea otters along the way! Disembark at the trailhead where you will begin a guided hike to Grewingk Lake. This saddle trail offers spectacular views of Kachemak Bay and opens up onto the shores of Grewingk Lake. At the lake’s edge, you will find kayaks ready for you. A leisurely paddle will take you across the lake, amidst icebergs as you approach the face of this giant glacier. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the shore overlooking the 13-mile ice field, surrounded by towering mountains.

Return to the lodge this afternoon with time to relax before a gourmet farewell dinner.

Day 9

Flightsee by Floatplane back to Anchorage - City Tour

Return to Anchorage by private floatplane this morning. After landing at Lake Hood a private driver/guide will greet you for your day in Alaska’s largest city. The tour will be tailored based on your energy level and specific interests. Admission to the Anchorage Museum has been included, allowing a deeper learning of Alaska’s history as well as a fantastic Imaginarium Discovery Center for the children. Your driver/guide can provide recommendations for dining, shopping, and family-friendly experiences for your afternoon. When you are ready, arrive at your hotel for the evening and relax before your final night in Alaska.

Day 10

Depart Anchorage

After breakfast, a private transfer will greet you for your airport transfer. Say goodbye to Alaska with fantastic memories and experiences your family will cherish for years to come.
